Flange sizing:  understanding the correct fit.

Q: What should my nipple look like when I'm pumping?

A: Here's the thing, ladies.  The cartoon-looking image on the directions that comes with your pump just isn't enough.  Understand the correct fit with this real video that shows what the nipple should look like after a few minutes of pumping.

Tips:

1. Make sure your nipple is centered in the flange

2. Your nipple should not lose suction while pumping.  Your nipple should be freely moving.  There should be about 1/2 inch of tissue up against the sides of the flange.

3. Use the strongest comfortable suction setting, and go slowly when increasing suction
